Before attempting any troubleshooting steps, ensure you've updated to the latest version of the Notewise app. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app is not recommended, as it could lead to data loss unless you're using Notewise Cloud (Learn more).
Please note that Notewise Unlimited cannot be shared between Android and iOS devices.
For iOS users
If you purchased Unlimited through App Store, your Unlimited status is linked to your Apple ID. Notewise communicates with App Store to retrieve the most recent information about your purchase and Unlimited status.
In case your Unlimited status isn't reflected after the App Store purchase, try restoring the purchase by tapping the Restore purchase button on the purchase page. Refer to the provided screenshot below for assistance.
If you try to restore and nothing happens or you get an error message, please try the following:
- Sign in with the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchase. If you made the purchase with a different Apple ID, you will not be able to restore your purchase.
- Restart your device
- Sign out and back into Media & Purchases:
- iOS: Device Settings > Your Name > Apple ID > Media & Purchases and tap Sign Out. Tap Media & Purchases again to sign back in.
- Check your Purchase History with Apple. If you have more than one Apple ID, you might have been signed in with a different Apple ID when you bought the item. Sign in with the other Apple ID and check your purchase history again.
- Reach out to Apple for further assistance if the above steps don’t help.
For Android Google Play Purchase
If you purchased Unlimited through Google Play, your Unlimited status is linked to your Google Play account. Notewise communicates with Google Play to retrieve the most recent information about your purchase and Unlimited status.
In case your Unlimited status isn't reflected after the Google Play purchase, try restoring the purchase by tapping the Restore purchase button on the Unlimited purchase page. Refer to the provided screenshot below for assistance.
If the issue persists, follow these steps:
- Verify that your Google Play app is signed in with the same account used to make the purchase.
- Close the Notewise app.
- On your device, navigate to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage.
- Tap Clear data and Clear cache.
- Restart your device.
- Open the Google Play app and ensure you're signed in with the Google account associated with the purchase.
- Open Notewise and check your Unlimited status or restore the purchase again.
For Android Notewise Website / Stripe Purchase
For Stripe purchases from Notewise's website, only 1 device can be active at any time. To activate your current device, tap "I already have an activation code" on the Unlimited purchase page, as shown in the screenshot below.
